ESST~ Education Support Services Team
The EST-R plays an integral part of this schoolwide team designed to collaborate on school data collection and analysis, school level initiatives as well as addressing the individual needs of struggling learners who have been referred by classroom teachers. The team consists of education support teachers in resource, guidance, literacy and numeracy, school administration, a district level liaison and teacher representatives. The team meets weekly or bi-weekly and an example of a template to record the minutes from these meetings is included.

Problem Solving Meetings
Problem solving meetings are held to address specific behavioural and/or academic issues of individual students. Referrals are made by the classroom teacher and a team of educators work collaboratively to provide support and strategies. The 30 minute problem solving meeting format (below) is used by some schools. There is also an example of a template to record the minutes of such meetings.

Decision Making Model
Ethical issues are often encountered within inclusionary education. The EST-R may find himself or herself in a situation where complex ethical decisions are required. Making these decisions collaboratively and ensuring that they are made in a logical and timely manner is important. The following is a decision-making template which may aid in this process.

Transition Meetings
Students with exceptionalities require additional planning to successfully transition entering the school system, transitioning from one level of education to the next, moving from school to school or from the school system to post secondary or the workforce. The EST-R plays an important part in gathering a team of educators to aid in these transitions. The following documents are examples of the items that should be included and considered in such transition meetings.
